Pair arrested over fatal stabbing

Paul Gilligan was stabbed twice

Two men have been arrested over a fatal stabbing outside a Bolton pub.

Paul Gilligan, 31, died in hospital after being stabbed in the chest and shoulder at Pepper Alley on Crown Street, in the early hours of Sunday.

Two men aged 23 and 20 have been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. The 23-year-old man has also been arrested on suspicion of murder.

They are both being questioned. Leon Ramsden, 19, of Bolton, has already been charged with murder.
