The M6 has reopened following a crash in Cheshire in which seven people were hurt.
Five vehicles were involved in the accident on the southbound carriageway between junctions 16 and 17 just south of Sandbach at 1000 GMT.
One vehicle crossed over on to the opposite carriageway, causing a further crash, which initially led to both carriageways being shut.
The injured were taken by air ambulance to Leighton Hospital in Crewe.
The northbound carriageway was reopened after about two hours and the southbound carriageway was back in use just before 1400 GMT.
